Advent Now! to present Christmas concert

Lee University Chamber group Advent Now! directed by Dr. Austin Patty will present a Christmas music event in the Chapel on campus at 7:30pm on Tuesday, December 14. Each winter, Advent Now! travels to Japan to tour, perform, and minister across the country. Due to complications caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the group was not able to travel this year. However, they bring this Christmas event to the Cleveland community this year in order to spread the word locally about what they do as well as to record a full video to send to each community in Japan that would have experienced their music in person.

The group is comprised of both vocal and instrumental students, most of them Lee University music majors, who perform at high levels and are experienced in performing in a variety of venues. Dr. Austin Patty also performs on violin in the ensemble. This concert will present many different styles of music in celebration of the season and showcasing what the ensemble performs while touring.

The concert is open to the community and is free of charge, but donations are welcome. The proceeds collected will go toward the Advent Now! December 2022 Japan trip.
