University Ensembles
Ensemble involvement at Lee University is one of the highlights of the School of Music. With a strong history of over fifty years of dynamic ensemble offerings, instrumental and vocal ensembles are open to all interested and qualified students regardless of major. Most university music ensembles require an audition, unless otherwise noted, and provide musical and ministry experiences that mold the college experience for our students. Ensemble auditions are held at the beginning of every semester.
Faculty and Staff
Award-winning musicians and scholars mentor students in music theory, history, literature, technique and musical performance, equipping each music major with the tools for creative and professional success.
Honor Band and Honor Choir
Every year, Lee University hosts an Honor Band and Honor Choir for outstanding high school musicians.
The dates for the 2022/2023 season are as follows:
Honor Band – November 17-19, 2022
The new application and schedule will be uploaded soon!
Honor Choir – February 10-11, 2023
Summer Music Camp 2023
Held the last week of June, Lee University Music Camp is for students entering grade 9 through those entering college as freshmen. Music Camp offers an experience in learning about music that will enhance musical skill and knowledge. These musicians will have the opportunity for ensemble experience in piano, choir, chamber strings, band and jazz combos. Study in music theory and music history is provided as well as opportunities to focus on specialized areas of interest. Members of the Lee University faculty and visiting professionals serve as camp faculty. The camp staff is chosen from graduates or current students of Lee University School of Music.
