Orff Workshop with Josh Southard

Music Education students, are you looking for a way to earn more observation hours? You can earn three by attending this free workshop on February 9th!

Josh Southard teaches general music at Smoky Row Elementary School in Carmel, Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Butler University and a master’s degree in Music Education with Orff Emphasis from Anderson University. This year, Josh was honored to be elected Teacher of the Year by Indiana Music Educators Association.

Josh served four years as president of the Indiana chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association, and is currently the chair of AOSA’s History committee. He is active nationally as a clinician and teaches Level I Basic Pedagogy in multiple AOSA approved certification courses.

The workshop will be held at South Clinton Elementary School, 242 Hiway Drive, Clinton, TN. It will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 9th.

THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE TO STUDENTS. Music education majors can acquire 3 observation hours by participating in this workshop, as well as mileage support for attending.
