
Lee University’s Senior Honors Concert will take place Thursday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Squires Recital Hall, located in Lee’s Humanities Center.
“The Senior Honors Concert is an annual event that allows us to celebrate some of our most talented senior undergraduate musical performers,” said Dr. Douglas Warner, director of applied studies in music. “Throughout the last several years, these outstanding students have demonstrated superior performance, earning the respect of the faculty.”
The students performing are selected by applied music faculty members. Vocal performers include Libby Clark, soprano; Taylor Cooper, soprano; Gabrielle Flannery, soprano; Olivia Fuehne, soprano; Chloe Hamlin, mezzo-soprano; James Hoskins, baritone; Kaylee Smith, soprano; and Kendall Stones, soprano.
Instrumental performers include Jesse Crabtree, trombone; Sam Dodge, trombone; Ashley Garner, clarinet; Chiaoyu Lin, piano; and Cassandra Rod, violin.
The students will perform works by Jacob Gade, Franz Schubert, Igor Stravinsky, Guiseppe Verdi, and Vaughn Williams, among others.
“We have some truly talented and hardworking musicians here at Lee, and I am thrilled for our community to be able to experience the results of their diligent work,” said Warner.
This event is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.
